Elizabeth and Ben Anderson, a Celtic fiddle and cello duo, has been gaining an enthusiastic following in the Boston area and throughout New England. Blending Scottish and Irish tunes with lively rhythms and innovative harmonies, they create a sound rooted in tradition, inspired by the contemporary, and completely original. On stage, they captivate audiences with their ability to effortlessly communicate musical nuances as only siblings can.

The ever-upbeat and fun-loving Galway native, Katie McD and her dynamic Irish Cross-County Band, is a stellar blend of traditional Celtic, contemporary and original music. It’s a diva-rich troupe this year with three talented ladies and one equally talented gent! Enjoy an entertaining glimpse of Ireland with the lilting vocals of Katie McD; ‘stories from home’ told by the ever witty, good looking bodhran player and Tipperary native, Martin Butler ; joined by the talented Danielle Kleeman, Vermont native, on vocals, flute and piano. The concert features special guest, Elize Boeur, Vancouver native, who is a thoroughly unique breed of fiddler. She ties together diverse influences with a deceptively light touch – her distinctive, silvery tone, toe tapping rhythm and vibrant tone murmur Donegal & Scandinavian fiddle styles among others. Spring Concert: Romancing the Chorus

What a treat! I joined this wonderful choir and they are having a Spring Concert in South Weymouth. They have put together a beautiful program of romantic songs and choral music from the Romantic Period. A great group of people ranging from ages 19 to 89! Amazing. I am honored to be apart and humbled by the talent and love these people have for the music. Come see us and enjoy a great night’s entertainment. Tickets range from $15 to $20.

The Homeland

A VISIT TO THE HOMELAND: It is so great to be home and have a good dollop of my mother’s cooking! I am having a traditional Irish fry every morning cooked by yours truly. While home, I am doing a mini-tour of Ireland taking in some of my favourite people and places. The first leg of the tour begins in Inishowen with a private house concert, then it’s off to O’Flaherty’s Pub in Buncrana for a session, followed by another session in Campbell’s pub in Headford and the final gig is in Cork. This is a grand chance to breathe in the Holy Ground and to reunite with some great friends. So excited to play at The Hole in the Wall Pub and then I fly to America and bring a bit of home back to my Irish friends wishing they were home with you beautiful people. I know it is a whirlwind but if you are around, come down and let’s catch up and hang out! Friends and fans, don’t forget to get the cuppa ready for me!

It’s going to be a busy Fall season. With lots of concerts from Golf Tournaments to Pig Roasts to Christmas Concerts! I look forward to getting back in the swing of it all. THANK YOU all for your support in this sad time for me. Losing my best friend, Tanya Connolly in a traffic accident has been a devastating experience. I know the songs are to come but until then, I ask you to treasure each moment with your family, friends and loved ones. Say GOODBYE and let go of the grudges. Life is too short, don’t sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the bigger picture. We are all here for such a short time. In that time, I hope we can have fun and sing the songs we love, tell the stories that make us laugh and dance to a tune that makes our hearts happy enough to miss a beat.
